GEOREX

2007

This year was portrayed by improvements in both productivity and technical value added of the service activities. The sales of services of the group rose at €9 648K providing a net income of €736K. Compared to 2006, the sales decreased by 3.6% while the net profit rose at 7.6%. The current operating income increased by almost 39% from €900K to €1 248K.

In 2007, the Group continued the consolidation of the "Data Management" activities. These activities are structured in France under the dedicated subsidiary Geonumeric SAS, while those of “Subsurface” are regrouped under Georex Assistance Technique SAS that covers site operations, geology, geophysics and reservoir studies.

Our recruitment and career management policy facilitated a constant process of renovating the human resources of the company.

International development is continuously built through organic growth of our French, British and Tunisian companies. Aware of the importance that the external growth represents for the group’s development, the management proceeded to a number of evaluations for the acquisition of companies in the data management as well in the environmental sector.

2006

In 2006, the Group reinforced its geosciences segments, initiated a genuine recruitment and career management policy, and continued the geographical diversification. The decision to enter the environmental sector will contribute to diversify our sectors of activity.

A number of structural changes support the strategy of the company, among them the allocation of stock options to the personnel and management, the division of the nominal of the share on the basis of 25 new shares for one old, and the initiation of capital raises.

The company intends to increase its presence in North and West Africa. The regroupment of all Data Management activities under the subsidiary company GEONUMERIC SAS will support this project. On the other hand, a prospect evaluation sector is under construction and will enable us to develop reservoir evaluations and project promotion concomitant with internal training and reinforcement of our employees’ skills.

The lack of experienced professionals available in the oil and gas industry today is a reality that the Group has to face. Young candidates and sometimes group employees are directly absorbed by our clients while experienced consultants work directly as independents. These facts influence the service market, previously occupied by organized company structures and create a highly volatile environment with reduced margins and increasing confidentiality risks.
